A Penannular Type Brooch or Cloakpin

Historically accurate, and suitably heavy (a quarter pound of Sterling Silver!) 3 1/2" diameter shown set with Amethysts. Intricate carving on front and back. This brooch is actually categorized as a "false-penanular" annular brooch, as the pin is not designed to pass through the slot. Comes with a furniture-grade glass and oaken shadow box made by Michael Rousey that allows the brooch to be hung on the wall for display but still easily taken out for wear.
